A top-flight band brings Louis Prima, Keely Smith and Sam Butera’s quirky and iconic Vegas cabaret to life in the heart of Brighton. This special show is a tribute to the life and music of Grammy award-winning Louis Prima (played by Gary Wright). The self proclaimed ‘King of Swing’, Prima’s songs have always featured in The Soultastics‘ set as they tour the country to packed dance floors. Discover the story of this multi-talented Italian-American singer / trumpeter and his feisty on-and-offstage relationship with the young singer Keely Smith (played by Sam Carelse), who was hailed by Tony Bennett as “one of the greatest jazz-pop singers of all time”. Share in their comedic and bizarre on-stage antics which propelled them to fame in the 1950s swing boom.
Expect an authentic tribute to 1950s swing cabaret as the cast recreate scenes and performances from Louis Prima’s lounge shows at the Sahara in Las Vegas.
